What Does the Bible Say about Breaking Man`s Law
The revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave Him to show His servants the things that are to happen soon. He made this known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, even for all that he saw. Blessed is he who reads the words of this prophecy aloud, and blessed are those who hear and keep what is written therein, for the time is near. John to the seven churches that are in Asia: may grace be with you and the peace of the one who is, who was and who will come, and of the seven spirits who stand before his throne, and of Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead and the ruler of kings on earth. To the One who loves us and delivered us from our sins by His blood. For all those who rely on works of law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be whoever does not respect all that is written in the book of the law, and do it. Beloved, if our hearts do not judge us, we trust in God; And whatever we ask for, we receive from Him because we keep His commandments and do what Pleases Him. When does God forgive our sins? He forgives our sins after we have committed them and then admits that we have done so. He is faithful to forgive all our sins. Whatever you want others to do to you, do it to them too, for it is the law and the prophets. There must be nothing but to love one another, for he who loves the other has fulfilled the law.
For the commandments “Thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not desire” and all the other commandments are summed up in this word: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Love does nothing wrong to one`s neighbor; Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law. “In America, you challenge the law by breaking it and going to court to challenge it. However, the person must be prepared to bear the consequences, which is consistent with the way our own system of government is structured. Every citizen can do that. What I pray is that this will result in better law, if necessary, and stronger cooperation between churches, business and government that shows mercy and justice in a balanced way. “Pay to all that is due to them: the taxes to which the taxes are due, the income to which the income is due, the respect of whom the respect is due, the honor to whom the honor is due. It is not what enters the mouth that contaminates a person, but what comes out of the mouth; that pollutes a person. We do not always intend to commit sins. Sometimes we are surprised by our own actions and discover that we have sinned.
On other occasions, we know what we are doing and sin anyway. Both types of sin make God unhappy. Although Christians forgive all their sins—all past, present, and future—God asks us to confess our sins when we commit them because He wants us to live a holy life (1 Peter 1:16). When we confess or admit our sins to God, He forgives them. Sin is a sin in God`s eyes, and only when we believe in Jesus can our sins be forgiven. Sin means breaking God`s laws. King Ahasuerus walks in a bend for seven days – stuffing his face with food and drink and caressing with his friends. In a drunken stupor, the king demands that Queen Vashti come and show his body, wearing nothing but her royal crown. Vashti is shocked and categorically rejects his unreasonable edict. Of course, the king is angry! “What does the law require to get to Queen Vashti?” he asks. (Esther 1:15).
In the end, he pays a high price for his civil disobedience. The king deprives Vashti of her royal position and banishes her from his presence, possibly ordering her to be killed. Thus, those who resist the authorities will resist what God has ordained, and those who resist will suffer judgment. What should we say then? That the law is a sin? On no account! But if the law had not existed, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it means to desire if the law had not said, “Thou shalt not desire. And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life? He said, “What`s in the law?” How do you read it? And he replied, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul, with all your strength, with all your mind, and with all your neighbor as yourself. And he said to her, “You answered correctly; Do that, and you will live. But he, who wanted to justify himself, said to Jesus: “And who is my neighbor? In Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a captain of the so-called Italian cohort, a pious man who feared God with all his household, generously gave alms to the people, and constantly prayed to God. Around the ninth hour of the day, he clearly saw an angel of God enter into a vision and say, “Cornelius.” And he looked at him in horror and said, “What is this, Lord?” And he said to her, “Your prayers and alms have risen like a memorial before God.
And now send men to Joppa and bring a Simon named Peter. . He said to you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you besides doing justice, loving goodness, and walking humbly with your God? He who says, “I know him,” but does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him, and he said to them, “Have you ever read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God, at the time of Abiathar, the high priest, and ate the bread of the present, that no one is allowed to eat except the priests, and were there also those who were with him? If we break the laws of our government, we are lawless. This means that breaking laws such as speed limits or killing deer without a license is illegal and God calls it a sin. God wants us to obey our government because He establishes and suppresses governments. There are many different opinions about sin. Some people believe that sin is serious and others do not. Some believe that suicide is a grave sin and that it will send a person to hell. But God tells us that every sin is serious enough to send us to hell without Jesus` forgiveness. And when they brought them, they presented them to the Council. And the high priest questioned them and said, “We have strictly commanded you not to teach in this name, but here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring the blood of this man upon us.” But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God, not men.
I therefore call you, brothers, through God`s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, who is your spiritual worship. Do not adapt to this world, but transform yourself through the renewal of your Spirit, so that you can know by trial what God`s will is, what is good, acceptable, and perfect. For by the grace given to me, I say to all of you who must not think of yourself higher than they should think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body, we have several members, and the members do not all have the same function, so that we are, although numerous, one body in Christ and individually members of another. . That each person be subject to government agencies. For there is no authority except of God, and those that exist are established by God. That is why he who opposes authority has defied God`s ordinance; And those who resisted will receive a condemnation for themselves. For leaders are not a reason to fear good behavior, but evil. Don`t want to be afraid of authority? Do what is good, and you will receive praise from the same; for he is a servant of God for your good.
But if you do what is wrong, be afraid; for he does not carry the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger, who angers the one who practices evil. (NASB) Romans 13:1-4 After Vashti was cast out, Esther became queen. .
